about me

Why hello there!
I'm Nadia, or as my family and friends know me, Nads. I'm sitting on 25, I'm South African and for now I live and work in the coastal city of Busan, South Korea. I've been here for a year, teaching English in Elementary School to some of the greatest little humans I've ever met.

In 2012, I completed my bachelor of Journalism degree at Rhodes University. I've always loved the radio and was thrilled to learn I could specialize in Radio Production. After University, I worked for a year in radio and print but felt the travel-itch spreading rapidly! South Korea scratched that itch in February 2014 when I touched down in Busan to begin working for EPIK.

I started this blog as a way to keep in touch with family back home and friends around the world. It’s also been a way to document my new expat lifestyle and to keep in touch with my creativity. I hope that my experiences can help new expats on the scene or give the older ones some fresh ideas!

Cooking for my wonderful friends in my tiny Korean flat, meeting vibrant souls and reading have been my lovers on this journey. When away from my lovers, you can find me trying to master the Korean language or learning to play the Ukulele. Other times you’ll find me exploring Busan, sipping wine, taking pics on my phone or singing to myself as I walk down the street.

Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear from you! ^^
